Not directly. You have to go through the LDAP backend in EDS. This may
or may not work. For example, SyncEvolution depends on UID+REV for
change tracking, and I don't know whether the LDAP backend provides
that.
This is not something that I have tested, at least not as far as I can
remember. Going through EDS can cause issues. For example, at some point
it was observed that opening a remote database (could have been Google
Contacts, or a CalDAV calendar) did not always report changes
immediately.
