I also went ahead and prepared binary packages of the master branch
(1.2.99+20120228+SE+cb0b7f6+SYSYNC+5e0f652), and a HOWTO explaining how
to use it with KDE:

I should add that it would be great to have links to all the work that
you and Dinesh did with the KDE UI for SyncEvolution on that page. I
haven't included those because I wasn't sure how much you would
appreciate the inevitable questions from potential users about binaries
and next steps ;-)
