That sounds like a bug in the N9's SyncML. If it reads from one
calendar, it also should only write into that.
I did see forum posts with issues with syncing for windows users as well, so there is
undoubtably bugs with the native SyncML stack.
My hunch is that if your life is simple, bluetooth sync might work if you use
syncevolution to sync over a calendar and the you put all the devices calendar events into
