[SyncEvolution] [REVIEW REQUEST] BMC#21311 - item operations: authentication problem for WebDAV when using keyring
by Iovene, Salvatore
Hi,
the attached patch fixes BMC#21311 by invoking
SyncConfig::checkPassword also when doing --print-items.
commit ac9df6a857d4883e2932c14a885a664b15ee618a
Author: Salvatore Iovene <salvatore.iovene(a)intel.com>
Date: Wed Aug 3 12:08:02 2011 +0300
Fixes BMC#21311 - item operations: authentication problem for
WebDAV when using keyring
Use checkPassword() before trying to --print-items. This will either
prompt for the password at command line, or ask it from the keyring
if --keyring is specified (or if using the dbus server).
commit 1f48eb3a5905839269b7ad51bf19686d2d1c9bc6
Author: Salvatore Iovene <salvatore.iovene(a)intel.com>
Date: Wed Aug 3 10:37:57 2011 +0300
Cmdline.cpp: we don't need *both* gnome-keyring and kwallet to
store the pwd.
Please review.

Sorry, I ran out of ideas. 1.1 is fairly old now, I don't want to invest
further effort into investigating this, in particular when you don't
give a reason why you want to deviate from what is known to work better
with Funambol.
If you absolutely need it, you'll have to dig into the source code or
upgrade to SyncEvolution 1.1.99.5, available in the "unstable" Debian
repo and the download directories. It has a much saner configuration
system for backend and format selection, see "syncFormat" and
"forceSyncFormat".

Please quote the complete error messages. I don't know where it comes
from.

They will be logged to files, not printed. Check your
~/.cache/syncevolution directory.

by Roger KeIrad
Hello
i tried to synchronize using syncevolution 1.1.1 against funambol server .
The synchronization with calendar:text/calendar! type occurs successfully.
But when i changed the type to "text/x-vcalendar:1.0!" a problem occurs and
this message is displayed :
" calendar: type 'text/x-vcalendar:1.0!' not supported "

[SyncEvolution] Failure to compile libsynthesis with gcc 4.6.0 on Fedora 15
by Dumez, Christophe
Hi,
I was unable to compile the latest libsynthesis git (master) with gcc
4.6.0 on Fedora 15.
The problem was that offsetof() function is used in 2 places but the
cstddef header is not included.
Please find the patch in attachment.

I've created with the sync-ui.
I've done it now on another machine with the same Bluetooth-dongle&Phone.
There i have seen, that i can select wich parts of my phones should be
Synchronised.
On My main PC, this checkboxes wasnt shown.
So i've deleted all configurations and started again.
Without any results :-(.

[SyncEvolution] Syncevolution cant find evolution data
by Tobias Hägele
Hello,
im trying to synchronise my evolution datas with my mobile phone.
It seems like syncevolution couldnt find the Evolution data sources.
if i type "syncevolution" the following appears:
#####
Evolution Address Book = Evolution Contacts = evolution-contacts:
Persönlich (local:/system) <default>
Ubuntu One (couchdb://127.0.0.1)
Evolution Calendar = evolution-calendar:
Persönlich (local:/system) <default>
Geburts- und Jahrestage (contacts:///)
Evolution Task List = Evolution Tasks = evolution-tasks:
Persönlich (local:/system) <default>
Evolution Memos = evolution-memos:
Persönlich (local:/system) <default>
#####
i have seen here ( http://www.produnis.de/blog/?p=1039 )the source
should be like this:
#####
Evolution Address Book = Evolution Contacts = evolution-contacts:
Ubuntu One (couchdb://127.0.0.1) <default>
Persönlich (file:///home/produnis/.evolution/addressbook/local/system)
#####
On which point of the many configuration files can i change the path to
evolution?
More explanations for my problem i've wrote here:
