Hi Gizmo,
Thanks for your prompt comment! There IS mismatch and misleading about the "Q3 IS0
release notes" and "KVMGT setup guide blog".
Please allow me to revise the blogs a little bit to avoid the future confusion.
1. I just posted a new "Q3 ISO release" blog, to archive this release notes
email.
2. In this "Q3 ISO release" blog, the Q3 ISO image should be under
. The corresponding setup guide is embedded in the
iso binary file, named "README".
3. I also modified "KVMGT setup guide" blog, the iso file
(
) mentioned in the blog, should be considered
as an EXAMPLE file. Please replace this file with every quarterly ISO release image, for
example,
this time.
Best regards.

Subject: Re: [iGVT-g] [Announcement] Intel GVT-g ISO 2016-Q3 Release
That's great news. Thanks so much!
I'll just note that the instructions found on the following blog page still link to
what appears to be (based on the file filename) an older version of the ISO:
https://01.org/igvt-g/blogs/wangbo85/2016/kvmgt-environment-setup-gui
de-using-gvt-g-installation-iso
That is, the instructions point to here:
https://download.01.org/GVT-g/iGVT-g-test/
The /iGVT-g-test/ directory contains a file named "iGVT-g-v3-20160524.zip"
which, based on the filename, seems to be contain an older version of the
ISO. (I downloaded a zip file having the same filename a few months ago.)
Are the instructions found at the above linked blog page applicable to the
latest ISO?
If so, rather than update the instructions, perhaps you could move a copy of
the latest ISO to the /iGVT-g-test/ directory. (Or if the zip file has, indeed,
been updated to contain the latest ISO, perhaps you could update its
filename to avoid confusion.)
Thanks again for releasing the updated ISO. I look forward to testing it.
Best regards,
GizmoChicken
