Hi,
WiDi support in guest VM needs more display work. Consider that we fully
virtualize display resource for VM in gvt-g, that VM cannot touch most of
display hardware, this support would be hard. But meanwhile, we may not need
VM to know WiDi to provide WiDi experience. If the host has WiDi configured
and can show screen wirelessly, VM can show remotely as well when it is
foreground right? Thanks!

Hi Kevin,
I would think Intel would want and have plans to support WiDi with this technology. It
wouldn't be too tough to do from a single VM standpoint since support of passing
through an Intel Wireless card is already there.
About the audio getting shared between multiple VMs while using xengt, I'd love to
know if anyone had a good experience with it.
Thanks.

No plan of support WIDI.
For audio, I’m not sure what’s the exact reason causing bad experience in your side.
XenGT is purely about gfx. Audio related issues are likely
orthogonal…
Thanks

What is the plan for WIDI support with Xengt, currently and in the future? Is there a
plan to get that working? --Currently I can install The WIDI and Intel Wifi drivers of a
Intel Wifi card passed through to a VM using
Xengt, but with issues. Is there a plan to take bug reports and fix that so that Intel
igvt-g will integrate with Widi support in either a single VM or multi-VM scenario.
Also, what is the plan for Multi-VM audio support when using Xengt in more than one domU?
--Currently I have to pass through the audio card to a single VM because the methods
available to use the audio shared between
multiple VMs is very slow and choppy when using Xengt. It is so bad the audio becomes
really unusable.
Let me know if there is a plan with either for igvt-g going forward,
Thanks.
