My understanding is that in 2.4+ e2fsck should be fixing up the quota
files whenever it is running a full filesystem check on the MDT or OST. I
don't know of any additional checks that need to be done to update the
global quota state on the MDT, but I'm not really a quota expert.
Possibly you could describe your problem better?
