If you have not added a non-Google OpenID provider to your Intel HPDD Gerrit account you will NOT be able to log in to review.whamcloud.com on April 20, and will not be able to get access to your existing reviews and patches. Hello Intel HPDD Gerrit user! We have become aware that starting April 20, 2015, Google will no longer support OpenID 2.0 for Google accounts. This means after said date, you will no longer be able to log in to HPDD's review.whamcloud.com site with your Google account. Google is migrating to OpenID Connect, and Gerrit does not support (and does not plan to support) it in its login mechanism. You will need to migrate your Gerrit credentials to a new OpenID 2.0 provider. You can use any provider, but launchpad.net might be a good candidate, as it is very stable, and in fact, the OpenStack project requires its contributors to log in with a launchpad.net ID. If you already use a provider other than Google, this e-mail does not apply to you. Here are the steps you will need to take to add a new OpenID 2.0 provider to your account. NOTE: DO NOT sign in with your new OpenID provider until you have completed the following steps, otherwise you will create a duplicate account which will not be linked to your existing account. 1. Go to http://review.whamcloud.com/ and log in to your existing account, using your existing Google OpenID login 2. Click on your name in the top right corner, click on settings, then on that page, click on "Identities". - Or just go here once you're signed in: http://review.whamcloud.com/#/settings/web-identities 3. Scroll to the bottom and click on the "Link Another Identity" button 4. Enter the OpenID URL for your new provider. 5. That will forward you to a screen at your new OpenID 2.0 provider asking you to approve giving your information to Gerrit. Accept the request. 6. Once you do so, it will forward you back to review.whamcloud.com, and you will be signed in to your existing account with your new OpenID 2.0 provider.
