Hmm. I'm not really familiar with the intricacies of building against a particular
OFED, but I believe if you do not explicitly specify with-ofed and point it at (I think)
the OFED source for what's installed on your node, it will build against the OFED in
the kernel source.
That’s correct. When I build from source, the configure option I include looks like
"--with-o2ib=/usr/src/ofa_kernel” (or whatever path points to the local OFED
version). I haven’t tried rebuilding straight from source rpms, so I am not sure the
exact syntax for passing this option.
On the few occasions I have forgotten to specify that option, I end up with Lustre modules
compiled against the kernel ofed, and then I see all the complaints from ko2ib when I try
to use that module.
