Hi Vimal,
Not an IEEL user but I think you should probably be able to update to
2.10.x which is the current LTS release easily (at least I would expect the
update path to be there) and go from there to 2.11 if you want the latest
and greatest :)

Hello folks,
We have been using Intel Enterprise Edition for Lustre and haven’t updated
since two years. We are now looking to expand the storage on our cluster
but it seems to have been installed using Intel’s scripts, which I’m unsure
about and the pacemaker configs looks unfamiliar.
I have been searching around for the transition path but I couldn’t find
any. The last IEE Lustre was based on lustre ver 2.7 and the latest
community edition is lustre 2.11. Is there any formal transition guide
available to move off of IEE?
Thanks
Vimal
