I'll definitely consider it. Thanks a lot for the information.

Hi Kushal,
Thanks for your quick response in upgrading the software. I will have one of my
developers test the software and see if he can find the issue. It will be early next week
though, as we are trying to get data ready for a proof-of-concept.
One other request. It appears that YarcData (part of
Cray)<http://www.yarcdata.com/> may be using Intel GB for their Urika Graph
Analytics
platform<http://www.yarcdata.com/Products/>. The YarcData guys have forked
Intel GB and made quite a few changes (fixes to property graph, proper RDF etc). The
fork is at
https://github.com/Cray/graphbuilder/commits/2.0.alpha.
Is it possible to review the YarcData changes and merge the fixes into Intel GB code where
applicable? I am not an expert in Graph Theory, but just reading some of their changes
makes sense. Something to consider.
Best Regards,
John

Hi John,
I have updated the code with the new Titan 0.5.0 API, but can’t run it yet, due to some
bugs with Titan-0.5.0 and HBase-0.94.12. I’ll keep exploring, but you can check the code
in the meantime.

Subject: [GraphBuilder] Making GraphBuilder work with Titan 0.5.0
Hi,
Several interfaces used in GraphBuilder 2.0.alpha (e.g.
com.thinkaurelius.titan.core.KeyMaker, com.thinkaurelius.titan.core.TitanKey) are
deprecated in Titan 0.5.0. As a result, GraphBuilder does not work with newer releases of
Titan. The main impacted class is
TitanWriterMRChain.java<http://TitanWriterMRChain.java>.
I understand Kushal and the team are working on larger upgrade (timing TBD). But in the
interim, it will be great if the team can upgrade the software to work with the newer
version of Titan, which is definitely more functional and stable than Titan 0.4.1.
Thank you.
John
